The Women's Health Advice Centre (WHAC) is a registered charity which works to improve the mental health and well being of women regardless of age, colour, race, religion, disability or sexual orientation. This includes physical, mental and social aspects of health in a relaxed, non-medical, non-judgemental, confidential setting. The services are delivered by trained volunteers who are supported by trained staff. As a charity, the continued delivery of all our free services is dependent on securing adequate funding from various sources including donations. In addition to one-to-one counselling, we offer various courses and workshops, support and advice services in partnership with DAWN (Debt Advice in Northumberland), Health Trainer and listening ear. The centre is open: Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm; Fri 9am-4.30pm.
