A specialist unit for people who harm themselves. The service offers inpatient treatment at the Bethlem Royal Hospital, Kent, and outpatient at Maudsley Hospital. The out-patient service offers an assessment interview and recommends outpatient treatment, which consists of 16 therapy sessions, over 6mths, using different therapies according to the patient's needs. A report is sent to the referrer after the initial assessment and at the end of the treatment package.
