CIS'ters, set up in 1995, is an emotional support service for adult women who were sexually abused, as girls, by a member of their immediate or extended family.  The service offers a national helpline, newsletter and workshops.  In addition we also provide training for workers in other agencies, including statutory sector.  We signpost male survivors to other agencies.  Actively campaign to raise awareness re the impact of childhood sexual abuse and the unmet needs of all victims (male and female and child/adult survivor).  National supplier of the metal lapel pins (awareness symbol adopted 16 years ago by CROSS, the founders of the national march & rally held in London).  Helpline: Sat 10am-12noon), answer machine at other times.
